Yes, You Do Know Know How To Make Your Wife Happy

You don't need to figure out what would make your wife happy. You already know. It's the thing she's told you, more than once, that you keep putting off.

happy wife

Ask most husbands what their wife wants and the answer is usually vague.

"I don't really know, she doesn't tell me." That's usually not true.

She's told you what she wants.

Maybe not in a sit-down conversation, maybe just in a comment you brushed past because you were tired, or it wasn't the right moment. But it's in there. You heard it.

The reason it doesn't feel obvious is that "figuring out what she wants" sounds like a mystery to solve. It's not. It's a memory to retrieve. The information isn't missing, it's just been filed under "later."

Usually the reason it's still filed under later is small and unglamorous. It's inconvenient. It takes effort you don't feel like putting in that day. It's not urgent, so it keeps losing to things that are. None of that makes it wrong to feel that way.

But it does mean the excuse isn't "I don't know what to do." The excuse is "I know, and I haven't done it yet."

Right now she's frustrated, maybe even a little resigned. Not because you're a bad husband. Because she keeps carrying something she's already asked you to put down, while you keep telling yourself it'll happen eventually.

Here's the test.

Think of one specific thing she's asked for, whether directly or through frustration, that you haven't followed through on. Not a hypothetical. A real one, from recent memory. If you can name it in the next ten seconds, you already have your answer. You didn't need a plan. You needed to do the thing you were already told.

Do it, and something shifts.

She stops feeling like she has to keep asking. She starts feeling heard instead of managed. And you stop carrying the low-grade guilt of knowing you were behind on something you could have handled weeks ago. You start feeling like the husband you actually want to be, the one who follows through, not just the one who means well.

So as you finish reading this, identify one clear task she's been asking you to do. Then go do it. She will be happy. Which you already knew would happen.

Ready to stop guessing and start following through to have a happy wife?

This is exactly what coaching with me is about. Not vague advice about "communicating better." Real, practical follow-through on the things your wife has already told you matter, and the accountability to actually do it.

If you're ready to be the husband who follows through instead of just meaning to, book a free call and let's work out what's next.
