Love Her With The Power of Your Words

Everybody likes a compliment. It's proof someone sees you and values you. But the words you use don't actually make the difference.

Love her with the power of words

Think about the "thank you" you give a stranger who held the door. Now think about a "thank you" you would say if you really wanted to show your wife how much you love and appreciate her. Same two words, but one of them actually means something.

The difference isn't the vocabulary you use. It's the energy behind it.

You can say "you look beautiful" while scrolling your phone, and it disappears the second it leaves your mouth. Say the exact same words while you actually stop, look at her, and mean it, and it feels totally different.

This is why generic compliments don't mean much, or worse, even when they're technically true. "Good job today" said on autopilot doesn't tell her anything. Say it while you're actually paying attention to what she did, and it tells her something completely different.

Same with "thanks for dinner." Said while you're already halfway out the door, it's nothing. Said while you actually look at what she made and mean it, it's a totally different sentence.

Before you compliment her, stop for two seconds. Look at her and mean it. Let your tone and your face match the energy of your words instead of running on autopilot.

You don't need a bigger vocabulary. You don't need to get poetic with words. Just slow down.

There's a difference between hearing words and feeling them. A heartfelt compliment doesn't just register, it sits with her. It's the kind of thing she thinks about hours later. That's what a real compliment said with the correct energy does.

Next time you want to compliment her, don't just say the words. Stop, look at her, and mean it. That's the whole difference.

Ready to stop guessing and start following through?

This is exactly what coaching with me is about. Not vague advice about "communicating better." Real, practical follow-through on the things your wife has already told you matter, and the accountability to actually do it.

If you're ready to be the husband who follows through instead of just meaning to, book a free call and let's work out what's next.
